Use: Face, Body, HandAroma: Medium. Top notes are chocolate, with vanilla undertones adding a calming essence to this soap.
Ingredients: sodium cocoate (coconut oil), sodium palmitate (palm oil), glycerine (coconut, palm), amylopectin (zea mays), cocoa butter, chocolate (45% cacoa, cocoa butters, raw sugar), cacao (theobroma cacao) powder, chocolate extract, vanilla extractives, avenanthramides (oat).
Compounder’s Notes: Theobroma cacao. Plants are classified in Latin and Greek, so Theobroma means “food of the gods” which is exactly what the MesoAmerican cultures called the evergreen cacao tree that gave them the all-important chocolate! Cocoa beans are actually the seeds of the fruit -an oval pod with ridges that has been celebrated in art for centuries. Cocooned within the long fleshy pod are the antioxidant-rich and ever-amazing cacao seeds we call cocoa beans. Cacao was even used as currency throughout history. I’m pretty sure that would have left me broke. Great to eat, great in soap, no chocolate is safe. E.~
